DjangoCon 2011

September 5th, 2011 at 7:03

It’s Labor Day. I am gettting ready to head to Portland for a 3 days of DjangoCon. Its is going to be exciting. For those of you who do not know, Django is a Python based open-source web-framework that I used extensivley at work and in my non-work projects. Here are some examples of sites I have written using Django, theopenforest.com and the Fisherman’s Portal.
I m hoping to learn a lot at this conference and meet a lot of smart people with a passion for web development.
The meeting ends on Thursday after which I am heading up to Seattle to meet up with Sarah. She will have just wrapped up the American Fisheries Science meeting. I also have another meeting in Seattle on Friday about electronic Fisheries Information Systems (eFIS). Its a busy and exciting week.
